About us

Who mots Tercüme is, which jobs it takes on and which it does not; how it works, its approach to confidentiality and the operator's details.

mots Tercüme is a translation agency that provides written translation services to organisations. Its buyer is a procurement unit, a legal department, a tender desk or a finance unit.

Which jobs we take on

We carry out the written translation of contracts, tender files, technical specifications, financial statements, corporate correspondence and similar corporate documents. A job is assessed according to document type and language direction.

Which jobs we do not take on

We do not take on jobs for which we have no resource specialised in the field, and we say so openly. Nor do we accept as it stands a schedule that leaves no room for the review step; the scope or the date is reviewed together.

Personal matters

If you want to have your own document translated in order to submit it to an organisation, that is handled through our sister site translation.tr. Coming to the wrong door wastes time; this is why the referral is made openly.

How we work

The job is done by a person selected according to language direction and subject expertise. A second person, who did not make the translation and has the same competence, reviews it. This arrangement is layered according to document type.

Team structure

Because the variety of fields and languages calls for a broad pool of specialists, we also work with freelance specialists. Responsibility towards the client lies with us; the subcontractor is not your point of contact.

Language assets

The translation memory, the termbase and the style guide build up as work is done. In corporate work the ownership of these assets is defined in the contract, and it is common practice for it to rest with the client.

Confidentiality

There is a written undertaking with everyone on the team, and the obligations are passed on without being diluted. Client documents are not uploaded to any free machine translation or language model service.

We make no certification claim

We do not offer services on the strength of a certificate or an authority that we do not hold. Which authority is required is stated at the outset; if we do not have the required authority, we say so clearly.

Operator

This site is operated on behalf of mots Tercüme by Hacettepe Tercüme Ltd. Şti. The company details are on the contact page.

Relationship between the brands

The relationship between mots Tercüme and its sister brands, and the limits of authority, are explained on a separate page. Having this distinction clear also makes it plain which job belongs where.

How to start

Starting with a small or medium-sized job is the soundest route. The two sides get the measure of each other, and the terminology and style decisions are established; in later jobs this effort is not repeated.

Measurement

Indicators such as on-time delivery, feedback, rush jobs and repetition rate can be shared periodically. The targets are set together.

Takeaway

What is decisive in corporate translation is not the quality of a single job but whether the flow is managed or not. A structure that knows its scope, states its limits and works measurably produces a more predictable relationship in the long term.
