Pricing questions

Frequently asked questions on how the fee is made up and on its individual items.

This page answers questions on how the fee is made up. Current amounts are given in the quote and on the pricing page; here the structure itself is explained.

What is the price calculated on?

The calculation is made on a unit, and items are added on top of it. The volume tier, the repetition rate, urgency and typesetting are separate items. The structure is shown in the quote.

Why do you not give a single unit price?

A single figure treats different jobs as the same. A publication-ready catalogue and internal correspondence do not require the same effort. The item structure makes this difference visible.

Is the count made on the source text or the target text?

It is made on the source text. In this way the fee is known at the start of the job. Even if the target text grows longer, the figure does not change.

Is it counted with or without spaces?

Which count is used is written clearly in the quote. There is a noticeable difference between the two counts. It is not left unclear.

Does the price fall as the volume increases?

It may. Because the preparation effort is spread out in large jobs, a tiered structure is applied. The thresholds are defined in the annex to the contract.

Is there a discount for repetitive texts?

There is. Matches in the memory are charged in tiers. No tier is entirely free of charge, because every suggestion is checked in its context.

Why is an exact match charged as well?

Even a sentence that matches exactly is verified in the context in which it appears. If the context has changed, the rendering may not fit. Review effort arises.

Does the price change for rush jobs?

It changes if additional resources and work outside normal hours are required. The rate is notified in advance and is not applied without approval. The quality steps are still not skipped.

Is the notary fee included in the price?

It is not. Official fees are tied to tariffs and are shown separately from the service fee. These items are passed on with an expense document.

Is typesetting included in the price?

Typesetting is a separate specialism and is shown as a separate item. Text embedded in images also falls within this scope. The scope is written in the quote.

Why is there a minimum fee for a very small text?

Every job has a preparation effort that is independent of volume. The steps of opening a file, review and delivery are repeated even for a single sentence. Collecting small requests reduces this item.

Does the price stay fixed for the duration of the contract?

The items are valid throughout the period. The update procedure and the notice period are written in the contract. No unilateral change is made.

Is tax included?

It is stated clearly in the quote. A figure that does not say whether tax is included cannot be compared. The wording is kept clear.

What is the payment term?

The term is defined in the contract, and the date from which it starts is written down. Periodic consolidated invoicing can also be agreed. The procedure is determined at the outset.

Can I dispute an invoice?

You can. The period and form of the objection are defined in the contract. The amount other than the disputed item is paid, so that the process is not held up.

There are cheaper quotes; where does the difference come from?

The most frequent reason for the difference is scope. A quote that does not include independent revision is naturally lower. Two quotes cannot be compared unless they include the same steps.

How can I forecast my budget?

When an annual volume estimate is shared, a forecast can be built on the item structure. As the repetition rate increases, the unit cost falls. Planning becomes easier.
