Delivery time questions

Questions on how the turnaround is calculated and on what affects it.

This page answers questions about the turnaround. A turnaround is not just a date; what is included and what stops the count are decisive.

What is the turnaround based on?

It is calculated according to daily capacity measured by volume, subject field and language direction. The review steps are added on top. The estimate is not left to intuition.

Are the review steps included in the turnaround given?

They are. The committed date includes revision and proofreading. These steps are not extra time added afterwards.

When does the turnaround start?

It runs from the order confirmation. If the source file is incomplete, the count does not start. The situation is notified immediately.

Does the clock stop?

It stops if there is a pending question. When the answer arrives, it runs on from where it stopped. The time stopped is recorded and the date is updated.

Working days or calendar days?

It is defined in the contract. Whether public holidays are included in the count is also written down. In long holiday periods the difference becomes noticeable.

How does the turnaround change if the number of documents increases?

The turnaround may not increase linearly; jobs can be run in parallel. However, coordination is needed for consistency. The plan is built according to the volume.

Is faster delivery possible?

The translation and preparation stages can be speeded up with additional resources. The duration of the official certification steps, however, lies outside and cannot be shortened. The distinction is stated at the outset.

Why can the notary step not be speeded up?

These steps proceed in the authority's own order of business. Appointments and workload determine the duration. This time is added to the plan.

Does quality fall in rush jobs?

The quality steps are not skipped. The acceleration is achieved with additional resources. If steps have to be skipped, that is a change of scope and is agreed separately.

What happens if I ask for a turnaround that cannot be met?

You are told at the outset that it cannot be met. Narrowing the scope or partial delivery is proposed. We do not say yes to a date that cannot be kept.

If the job finishes early, do you deliver early?

We do. Nothing is held back. Early delivery gains time for the client's own process.

Can I take delivery of a long document section by section?

You can. The interim delivery dates are written down separately. This arrangement starts your own process early.

If there is a delay, when do you let us know?

The moment the risk arises. Letting you know on the last day leaves you no options. An alternative is offered together with the notification.

Who is responsible for a delay?

One looks at its source. If it stems from a document that arrived late or a question that was not answered, that time is outside the commitment. The records show this.

At what moment is delivery regarded as made?

It is defined in the contract. Whether dispatch or receipt is taken as the basis is written clearly. An alternative is determined for channel problems.

Why does the turnaround lengthen for documents going abroad?

The verification chain becomes longer and part of it runs in another country. Courier time is also added. The schedule is built backwards.

I have a fixed date; how should we proceed?

The schedule is built backwards from that date, and an allowance is left for the official steps. The document with the longest chain is started first. The plan is shared at the outset.
